GRETA THOMAS, VIOLIN TEACHER

Greta Thomas has been performing for the past 30 years, and teaching for the past 20. She began classical lessons at the age of 9 with Phyllis Freeman at Peabody Preparatory. Later, in her teenage years, she studied with Klara Berkovich. She attended Towson University and majored in music education under the instruction of Zoltan Szabo. After college, she completed Suzuki training at The Suzuki Institute of the Americas. In addition to playing in the Hunt Valley Symphony Orchestra for a time, Greta has played and recorded with many local bands and musicians and currently plays in several local bands.
